After 3 1/2 years in Radio as an On-Air Personality, I was made famous in the early days of beat mixing, and survived the MC Hammer haze and daze. Wanna be a cowboy? Groove is in the heart? Audiences where amazed at my ability to mix with tapes, technique 1200’s, long before the days of MP3’s and CD’s. Sound effects where created using a Yamaha DX7.
My outstanding performances on the dance floor and the mic have made me synonymous throughout Western Canada. I have worked at many famous night clubs in Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, LA (Lethbridge AB) Kelowna, Vernon, New Westminster, Burnaby, Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler and done 1000’s of shows. I have opened for many famous Canadian recording acts.
In 1987, I started a mobile DJ company, while at the same time doing club gigs under the name DJ Lorenzo. After an extended break from the music scene, I spent time in the "real world" and realized that music and DJing would always be a part of my life. I vowed to get back on the path of the righteous, and start spinning again. Still working the day job, the now 'geezer' has risen from life support to reunite with the current music scene mixing in the old and new so the fans are truly happy. So I have since begun the journey of getting back to one of the few places outside of family that I truly experienced a love transcending anything physical - MUSIC. Like all DJ's we need a day jobs, and mine is in finance.
Current project include charity functions, club gigs, weddings, parties, short song remixes for shows, my mp3 mixes for download and a few projects with my DJ buds.
